I like to walk around the city at the dusk or the night.
People was throwing little party reward each other for Tono festival in everywhere.

That nitht was "Jugoya, Chu-syu-no-meigetu(lunar month or the 15th day of the 9th-in old calender in Japan- lunar month)", so the full-moon was beautiful.

The moon I took a picture was "Heart like" moon!

Yabusame
The high-light of Tono matsuri is "Yabusame".
It means "shooting pair of arrows while riding horse".

Vistors of Tono matsuri are always looking forward to this impressive performance.

Hot SPA
At Nukamae, Aozasa-cho in Tono, there is a hot spring named "Ama-no-yu".
Hot SPA_d0012011_19551938.jpg

Ama-no-yu(that's means "bath in the heaven") is just like a Japanese "Sento(public bath)".
Anybody can use this bath.

I tried it few years ago.
The hot water is brown.
I definitely think that I became hot and was sweating after took the bath then.

In Tono, there is no natural hot spring.
This Amano-yu may be kind of radon-spa.
(Is there hot spring like this in the oversea country??)

There are many kinds of medicinal properties of the hot water.
The hot spring is reputed to heal rheumatism, hurt and others.
So old people come here to heal and relax themselves.

And this "Ama-no-yu" have the reputation of good for health, so many people come and taking the bath from other towns and cities.

Also mascot character of Tono is Kappa named "Karin-chan".
He (she?) is holding a rindou flower.
This charactr loved by Tono's people include me.
It's cute, isn't it?

You can find Karin-chan in everywhere in Tono, even on the manhole covers.
